The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) has started 2010 with a new-look following a comprehensive brand review conducted by Icon.Inc.

Featuring a custom font and fresh blue colour palette, the new brand identity was unveiled in Sydney earlier this month. The rebranding project coincided with major organisational changes at the education authority and its move to new Sydney headquarters.

Icon.Inc has been appointed to the Australian Tax Office Communications and Related Services Panel for a three-year period. The appointment, which commenced January 1, followed a year-long tender process.

Icon CEO Joanne Painter said the rigorous selection process highlighted Icon's strength in strategic communications and copywriting.

"This is the second major Federal Government panel appointment in 12 months and we're delighted to be recognised as a quality supplier of diverse communications services to government.

"Building on our work with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), we look forward to assisting the ATO with its strategic communications needs over the coming years.
